Education & Portfolio Workshop

2 full days 9-6pm £3000

Please bring with you any hair accessories, jewellery, flowers, make-up colours, eyelashes etc. that you would like to add into your hair and make-up for the photos. All hair and make-up equipment and products will be supplied for your use during class time. You are welcome to bring your own hair and make-up kit for your use if you wish.

This course has been designed for those who have completed our hair and makeup course or already have some hair and make-up experience. If you haven’t done a hair and make-up course before but are interested in our workshop then please contact us to discuss if this course is right for you.

The course is based in photographic studios in North London so students can experience the atmosphere of working on professional photo shoots. The aim of the course is to enable students to intensively start off or add to their portfolios.

A total of six looks will be achieved at the end of the two days, each student will get a cd of images along with six professional pictures for their portfolios.

The course consists of a series of photographic hair and make-up demonstrations throughout the day followed by each student working on their own model. Each look is then photographed in the students very own photo session. During the photo session students will learn about photographic lighting and how both the photography and lighting can affect their hair and make-up. All selected pictures will be carefully retouched for a professional finish.

This course is strictly in small number only so you can gain 1-2-1 training and personal attention.

Course content:

Day 1

Look 1: Natural style hair and make-up suitable for western brides and registry looks.
Demo, students practice, photo shoot.
Look 2: Glamorous hair and make-up suitable for evening and receptions looks.
Demo, students practice, photo shoot.
Look 3: Smokey make-up and close up beauty shoots.
Demo, students practice, photo shoot.

Day 2

Look 4: Black and white photographic make-up with 60s hair and make-up.
Demo, students practice, photo shoot.
Look 5: Asian bridal Hair and make-up.
Demo, students practice, photo shoot.
Look 6: Fashion hair and make-up, adding in hair pieces and how shiny glossy make-up works with studio lighting.
